Inconceivable — Infertility

Today I contacted my Nurse Coordinator to let her know our break would be longer than we originally planned. W is for waiting. I've had my nephews quite a bit since the end of September. My brother works full time, and although the 3.5 year old (G) is in preschool, it's only 2x a week, for about 3 hours each time. My mom (Grandma) has both kids pretty much full time, so I've stepped in to help as much as I can. The 2 year old (L) is getting smarter each day, and along with that comes the sass and defiance,...

We had a bit of a scare on Saturday. Warning: Graphic post ahead S is for scary. . . . Since our last failed transfer (in May) I have only had one full menstrual cycle....in June. Before IVF, my cycle was like clockwork, every 29 days. I have been having spotting on and off for about the last month. Saturday afternoon I began experiencing abdominal pain, but only on the left side. It was stronger than normal cramps, and reminded me a bit of the ovarian cysts I have had rupture in the past, but not as bad. I had some...

We got our schedule! C is for calendar. If all goes well, we will begin stims on September 14th, and egg retrieval #2 could be as soon as September 23rd! What does this mean for Vegas? Well, I can still drink, I just need to choose less sugary/carby options, which I can do...I did it last year when I went with my Mom. 🤞 All goes as planned and we can get this show on the road!  

We've had quite a few appointments since I updated last. L is for late. Story of my life lately. I will catch everyone up soon. The latest update is we should be doing a second egg retrieval at the end of September. How did we get here. H is for Hell. The period from Hell.  AF has shown her face, and boy is she pissed. Cramps, back pain, PMS like you wouldn't believe. Poor Chad... I want to curl up in bed with the heating pad and the cat, but I have orders to fill. Ugh. At least this gets us one step closer to - well, whatever our next step is. We go in on the 18th to find out. Wish us luck, we need it.
